The impacts of gender in society
The view of gender in society separates
many people apart just because people have stereotypical views of gender.
Gender roles are different in many countries; some countries might have an equal view of gender while some countries might like to distinct gender in a very stereotypical way. Women’s gender roles in Sweden have more equality than most countries, but china’s gender roles of women is biased, men in china is placed ahead of women in social hierarchy.
Gender takes place in society everyday like hobbies or sports. Guys would think that girls like cooking, girls would think that guys like video games and sports, that is not 100% true but it is the norms of society, nobody likes to be judged under the norms of society.
Family households also have gender roles, for instance the mother usually cooks, cleans, takes care of the kids, and does the laundry while the father usually works full time, drives the car, does the repairing work, and also along with taking out the garbage. Yeah sure these roles can be flipped around but the majority of family households have these specific roles because of gender again.
Furthermore, gender can affect your goals for your future, there is A LOT of things gender has to do with jobs and opportunities, for instance people are to believe that men are stronger and smarter than women therefore men can do the tough and challenging work such as mining, construction work and professors, women on the other hand are thought to be more better at communicating, more sensitive in emotion, and very inspirational which leads to being jobs that involve caring and helping such as nurses, a babysitter or a midwife also those other jobs that are considered inspirational like an artist or a photographer.
It’s funny how the people of society treat other people according to their gender, appearance, and their abilities but now gender stereotypes in society have decreased in places and more equity has spread around the world.
Well done on this gender-role-filled paragraph. I agree that the roles of gender change with the country and that your gender will affect your current and future place in society. It most definitely is hilarious how people judge others by their gender.
